As the most popular theme park on Earth, the Magic Kingdom can get quite crowded. It is also a fairly large park that can be tiresome to navigate. There are a few lesser known pathways that you can utilize to both navigate around the crowds and save time.
1. Main Street, U.S.A. Bypass
During parades, fireworks, or anytime Main Street becomes clogged, a bypass becomes available on the backside through the "backstage" of the park. They've made some improvements to the look of this path lately, but it's still very much the backside of the park not intended for guests' eyes. If you don't want to spoil the magic, then this isn't for you. If you don't want to spend 10 minutes trying to get through Main Street, then this is a great option. The south entrance is next to Tony's Town Square Restaurant, while the north entrance is between The Plaza and Tomorrowland Terrace.
2. Tomorrowland Terrace
This is a great shortcut to quickly get in and out of Tomorrowland. It's only open to serve food during busy parts of the year but you can walk through anytime. However, there are two times during the day it isn't open: for rope drop and in the evening due to the fireworks dessert party. During the day when the hub gets crowded around the afternoon parade it provides a direct connection to the Main Street bypass I mentioned above.
3. Aloha Isle-Country Bear Jamboree
A connection that isn't obvious to many is a pathway through the buildings between Aloha Isle in Adventureland and Country Bear Jamboree in Frontierland. I love picking up a Dole Whip before watching the parade in Frontierland. Speaking about the parade: this shortcut gets clogged up around and after it, but most other times it's fine.
4. Tomorrowland-Fantasyland Connector
While not a very practical shortcut, hardly anyone is ever on this path. It's a great walk with a good view of Tomorrowland Speedway and one of the rare places in the park you can truly get away from the crowds. Do note that there is a smoking area along the path, so if you're highly sensitive you may want to hold your breath. You'll find the entrance in Tomorrowland tucked away next to the Space Mountain gift shop and in Fantasyland between the Barnstormer and railroad station. This path may close in the near future due to construction of the new TRON coaster, but for now it's still open.
